IMovie will not import video from Iphoto

I try to drag and drop video from Iphoto but it shows as a photo. I cannot migrate anything from my iphotos into my Imovie project. Running Big Sur 11.6

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 11.6

Try doing a File/Export to your desktop from iPhoto (or the Photos app if that's what you are using) and from there drag the video into iMovie.
