How to export .heic from live photo

I read this thread about how to export the .heic Can't export files from Photos as HEIC - Apple Community , but the issue is that after selecting the desired photo from a live photo, the export original photo in .heic format, doesn't export the one that I chose (which is the best of the live photo). How can I do this?

Hi

Use export, rather than export original. Export original always exports the image as it was when imported, with no changes. So it will ignore any key frame selection you may have made.

However, you can only export the selected frame as jpg, not HEIC.

If you set the frame you want as the key frame of the Live Photo, you can save it by dragging the thumbnail of the Live Photo to the Desktop. This will save the current keyframe as a JPEG. But it will have a lesser quality than the high resolution still frame of the Live Photo, because the video component with the animation has a lesser resolution than the high resolution still frame.
