404 Error and iCloudSMTP Settings

I am at a complete loss here why after updating to the latest iOS 15.4 on 3-19-2022 Safari no longer works due to a 404 Error. Then after consulting with a network engineer, they became highly concerned at the following iCloud outgoing SMTP settings that were set up by an Apple Advisor.

if you do not have an answer could anyone provide me an email at Apple to contact?

Thank you ver much for any help at all.

iPhone 8 Plus, iOS 15

Hey there, ffrm24!

We appreciate you reaching out on Apple Support Communities. We’d be happy to take a look at the behavior you’re experiencing with Safari and Mail.

To get started, the settings for your iCloud email address are set up automatically after logging into iCloud and enabling Mail in Settings > Tap Account > iCloud. For peace of mind, you can review those settings by entering your email address into Mail Settings Lookup at: Mail - Official Apple Support

Regarding Safari, we’d recommend following the steps included in: If Safari displays a blank page or quits on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

For easy access, you can find those steps below as well:

If you can't load a website or webpage, or Safari quits unexpectedly, follow these steps.

Connect to a different network

Try to load a website, like www.apple.com, using cellular data. If you don't have cellular data, try connecting to a different Wi-Fi network and then try loading the website.

Restart your device

Turn off your device and turn it on again. Here's how:
iPhone
iPad
iPod touch

Clear website data
You can clear website data occasionally to improve Safari performance. If you still need help, follow these steps:

1. Go to Settings > Safari.
2. Tap Clear History and Website data.
3. Tap Clear History and Data to confirm.

If the same behavior occurs, are you able to load websites in other web browsers? Are all webpages affected? When you connected to a different network, did the same behavior occur?

Cheers!

Thank you for your help. This is getting odder by the day. On cellular, Safari doesn’t load anything. On WiFi same. But in the Chrome App, I can access Apple sites and my iCloud but not Apple Support. I believe I know exactly what happened here and no one would believe me if I told them the entire story, it is not good. There is only one country where your phone number can be used as your Apple ID.. The port 587 issue…gmails SMTP port. Connecting the dots here. Not good. I have done extensive research and need to advise people who may have used the Apple Support App (app with blue Apple icon download from the App Store)….be aware. Anyone have more than one Apple ID and are an iCloud plus subscriber? Put it all together and it seems as if I am going to have a few issues to figure out. The perfect storm in Apples world and I just stepped into it.
