Apple serial number not recognized

My serial number is correct, but apple does not recognize my MacBook air 13. I purchased a 3-year AppleCare+ and still have an active 6 months left on my plan. How do I fix this problem to get the repairs I need?

There is one possibility - if you had a logic board replaced and they forgot to register the new serial number with Apple, it will not match. If that is the case, contact Apple support and provide details of the repair.

double check that serial number. I've had the problem occasionally and it always turned out to be an odd letter that looked like something else.
