Redeem code would be in a Gift card you brought.
If you don't want to use a gift card, then there is no redeem code, and you would use instead other payments methods such as Credit or Debit card.
If you already have Apple Funds on your Apple account, then you don't need to enter a code, just buy the app and it should automatically use the Apple funds in your account.
