Apple M1 Pro (Monterey) - Backup file stuck "inProgress" state

Hi There,

I am trying to backup my Mac to external HD drive. I left it running overnight but then I can see that the backup file is showing "2022-03-24-185050.inProgress". The file extension doesnt change, I dont think this is a "good" backup.

Any suggestions what to do to fix it and make sure the backup is good?
