is it possible to set up the HomePod, I am guessing by bluetooth, to my tv for extra sound?

you can only do this if the tv in question support airplay

and scroll down to

"AirPlay 2–Enabled TVs and Devices"

to see if your tv support it

You can only connect to HomePods over Wi-Fi using Apple's AirPlay 2 protocol. You cannot connect over BlueTooth.
