When transfering photos from one library to another what gets transferred? The edited photo, the original, both? Metadata? exif?

Both the original and the edited version will be imported, stacked as one photo, and you can revert the adjustments individually. Most metadata (titles, etc) will be transferred, but the keywords will be missing, as mentioned in the footnote in Import photos from another library in Photos on Mac .
