Why does my Apple Music library change the sorting automatically when I make a playlist

How can I sort my iTunes playlist? I am trying to sort by name and I can't figure out how. The internet says How to Sort Playlists in Apple Music 1. Using the songs view of a playlist you can sort on a number of column headings, but the leftmost column of numbers is the Play Order which would usually be the order in which tracks were added to the list.
