I was using my phone like usual and it kept glitching out, then I shut it off completely and restarted it. when I went to enter my password it said incorrect, I tried again it didn't work and now im locked out. I know I had the right password so why is it not working.

No one can answer “why”, but the glitching sounds like a hardware problem. You will have to erase the phone and reset your password.
