IPhone screen frozen

My Apple Mail edit screen is frozen…I can see new mail come in but can’t edit nor get out of that screen

Try a Hard Reset:

Press volume up (quickly)
Press volume down (quickly)
Press and hold the power button until the Apple logo ( ) appears

I was reading a different app. Somehow my mail came up on part of the screen. I swiped it, the whole screen was mail and now mail is frozen. I refreshed my iPad Pro but that didn’t help. iPad Pro - reading an app, mail showed up on part of screen. Swiped left, whole screen was mail but froze. Refreshed but still froze. Everything else works.

Mail on iPhone Chose edit for mail and it froze with mail listed for selection to delete or move. Can’t close or get it out of frozen status.

So tried that 5 times…failed to reset
