I have no idea how this happened or how to fix this. Can anyone tell me how?

Reset the Home Screen Layout:

If widgets are not working as they should, then you need to reset the Home Screen Layout...

Go Here: Move and Organize Apps on iPhone - Apple Support

You'd have to add back all the widgets that you can recall being back on there. So, write down what is currently on the Home Screen.

Scroll to: Reset the Home Screen and Apps to their Original Layout

  1. Go to: Settings
  2. Tap: General
  3. Tap: Reset
  4. Tap: Reset Home Screen Layout
  5. Then... Add the apps back

Hi there,

That's so funny. Your phone might just be confused if the photo app was already on the home screen and then was added to the home screen again from the app library, maybe it just glitched. Are both apps functional and showing the same thing?

I would then make sure your phone has the most recent software update, and if that doesn't fix the problem or if it's already updated all the way, I would do a force restart of your phone. It's probably just a glitch in the system.

Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

Force restart iPhone - Apple Support

Hope that helps!
