With the new DND update I am aware that we can allow people to see when DND is active to prevent them from contacting us during those times. But she’s that mean all of my contacts regardless of the type of phone they have? Will Android user still be notified that my DND is on?
Use Focus on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch says When you set a Focus, the icon appears in the status bar and on your Lock Screen, and your status is automatically displayed in the Messages app. When people try to send you a message, they'll see that you’ve silenced notifications, but they can still notify you if it's urgent.
The document does not limit this behaviour to iOS devices only.
A Community specialist answered this question here a few months ago, giving the answer that "It does not matter what type of device is used to send the message."
If you have a contact with an Android device test it out and report back with your findings.
Can android users see when you have DND turned on? Or is it only other iPhones?
