I keep my text messages and chose kept forever.
I lost all of my texts from my sister yesterday.
can I retrieve them?

You can try to retrieve them from an iCloud backup or Finder (or iTunes) backup. You’ll have to factory reset your iPhone, then restore all of the data from the last backup before the messages were deleted. Unfortunately, this means any changes since then won’t be saved and this process can take a while. Alternatively, you can try to contact your carrier to check if they have your messages (if they were text messages in green bubbles).
