mp3 files gone and resized to 0 bytes

I'm a DJ so I have many mp3 files on my MacBook.

Suddenly when i tried to play some of those files i noticed that their size has changed to 200 bytes and i can play them anymore. It happened to many files on my mac and that's terrible for me. maybe its a issue with iCloud? beacuse my this folder is located at Icloud drive as well.

Some (not all) media files being listed as folders PROBLEM: Some of my media files (mp3, mp4, FLAC) are showing up as "folder" file type in the finder. IT's not all of them.. like say an album of 10 files, 1 or 2 are showing as Folder. They open fine. Get Info shows everything fine. but if I do a search and filter on music, they wouldn't show up, but would if folder. There seems to be no rhyme or reason as to why this is happening. Sometimes If I double click to open it, it'll open in the right app and the file type in finder will change... but sometimes not. TRIED: Restarts; ran onyx to clean various caches and launch services etc, but so far, no good. Anyone suggest some other things to try?

My music library is taking up double storage space (Documents + iTunes) I haven't been able to find a clear answer to this online, though I've seen other people talking about it. I was trying to clear space on the HD of my late-2013 Macbook Pro Retina, and I noticed that my Documents folder was quite a bit bigger than it should be. Namely, I've revealed any hidden files/folders (there aren't any), then added together the total size of my remaining documents and folders, and my total Documents size should be about half a gig, if that. Instead, it's almost 5 GB, and the main difference in size is just about exactly the size of my iTunes library. Not only that, but when I go to Storage -> Manage for my HD, the two largest files in my Documents folder are both songs (.wav files). Here's the real kicker: If I search for those two files by name, I only find them in Music, not in Documents. What's going on? This isn't just an issue of my iTunes music being a subcategory of my documents; I have to add both together, along with the other sections of my HD, to add up to my total storage capacity. Somehow my Mac seems to be storing my songs in two places at once, and not letting me delete them from one of those places. How do I fix this and free up my 5 GB of storage that I could be putting to better use?

If they were on iCloud they may still be there. It depends on how they were "disappeared". iCloud Drive is interactive; it's quite possible to delete them locally and at the same time delete them on the cloud. You need to login to iCloud and look for them.

If they are gone, you'll need to rely on your backups.
