Magic Keyboard use with Amazon app

While using the amazon app on my 12.9 IPad Pro everything is fine unless I move the cursor and try to access the lower screen controls. I can access the apps minimize bar to close the app but when trying to use the 4 lower controls like Home, personal, cart and the 3bars, the cursor never makes it to the icon. It looks like it shoots up and to the left and disappears until the cursor is moved. I must select those lower items using the touch screen instead of the trackpad/cursor method. Seams like it didn’t do this before and not sure when it started.

Thanks, Jbcaro123

I have found that when moving the cursor to the bottom of the screen and it jumps up the cursor actually seems to still be at the point where it was when it jumped and a tap on the trackpad will click the item that you wanted. You just have to make sure that you put the cursor where you want it when it jumps then click. This has worked for me. YMMV. Hope it works for you and makes your life better.

Hi there Jbcaro123,

If you're able to access controls and icons at the bottom of the screen in other apps, and the issue only occurs with the Amazon app, give the steps below a try:

Close and reopen the app
Force the app to close. Then open the app to see if it works as expected.

Restart your device
Restart your iPhone or restart your iPad. Then open the app to see if it works as expected.

Check for updates
To see if updates are available for the app, open the App Store, tap your profile icon, then scroll down to see if updates are available. If updates aren't available for the app, update the software on your iPhone or iPad.

Delete the app, then redownload it
Delete the app. When you do this, you might lose data that was stored in the app. Then redownload the app. Then check to see if the problem with the app is fixed.

These can be found in If an app on your iPhone or iPad stops responding, closes unexpectedly, or won’t open.

Should the issue persist after those steps, reach out to the app developer for further assistance: How to contact an app developer

Regards.

Yup im having the same issue. Been going on for like a year now. I try to use the touchpad on my magic keyboard case to bring the cursor down to the bottom edge of the amazon app to access options like the shopping cart or shortcuts or the home icons and the cursor just shoots to somewhere else on the edge of the page. I can only use the touchscreen with my finger to get to those menu options. I’m using iPad Air 4th generations with the magic keyboard/touchpad. Im really disappointed in apple for not fixing or addressing this issue ; and disappointed in  amazon for not fixing the glitchy app as its been going on for a year or more. Just for the **** of it I also tried turning the ipad into portrait mode thusly shifting the lower border to the shorter edge of the iPad Air, and this issue with the magic keyboard touch pad still persists. I’ve tried  rebooting the ipad ; it didn’t help. And I’ve tried deleting the amazon app and reinstalling it, but that failed to correct he issue as well. It also only seems to happen specifically with lower border of the amazon app and no other apps seem affected.
