I am using Office 365 for Mac on a 2017 MacBook Pro with macOS Monterey version 12.3. Outlook started crashing whenever the inbox is selected. I have re-installed Office 365—still crashes when selecting inbox. All other folders in Outlook can be accessed. Any ideas for a fix? Could this be a corrupted database?

I was referring to trying when clicking on inbox. May not work, but worth a try. You could start in safe mode and see if you can access the in box.

You might be able to access Outlook on line thru your browser and find and delete the corrupt email.
supposedly you can open outlook in safe mode by holding down the control key while opening it. Here is some help from Microsoft.

Sounds like you have a corrupt email in Outlook. I have not tried this for Outlook but if works for the Apple mail account. when opening Outlook hold down the shift key Let me know if it works. Or since it only happens with the in box use the shift key to click and open it.
Is Office fully updated?
Not sure what you mean by "use the shift key to click and open it"? You mean hold the shift key, then click on the inbox? I did try holding down the Shift key when opening—Outlook still crashes when inbox is selected.
Yes, Office is current–Outlook is version 16.59. I re-installed Office 365 yesterday after the program started crashing.
Thanks...but that didn't work. And I tried safe mode, too—no luck.
