apps that are in the app store are approved
TotalAV on the App Store (apple.com)
but mind you on an ios device that have not been jailbroken
the only way to get new software on the device is apple app store
you can't get apps from mails, sms or websites this include virus, malware or the likes
so this app would only protect you from malware if they bypass all apples app store security
it also state it's an vpn in which case apple would not be able to help you if the vpn service snoop on your data
that us passed by their servers
