Yes it does definitely.

My wife took the risk and placed it on her pacemaker and she quickly took it away as it immediately affected the pacing. (What that does is switch from the calculated rhythm to what is called asynchronous pacing BUT there is always a risk it actually messes up the pacemaker so don't try this).
