BraveHouse got the better answer, I'll defer to Eero's own instructions for adding the router to the Home App.
As to why I could not change it, I went off and did other things so missed the 15 minute window to edit since I did not check back.
You won't see Wi-Fi networks in the Home App at all. Wi-Fi networks only show up in the Wi-Fi settings of the device you are looking at.
And you would only see HomeKit compatible routers in the Home App. Do you have a HomeKit compatible router? Have you followed the manufacturer's instructions to add it to the Home App? Link-> iOS - Home Accessories - Routers - Apple
There are only a handful of routers at this time that are HomeKit compatible.
My new router is an Eeos. It’s supposed to be HomeKit compatible. The issue is in the home app if I click on the home in the upper left then go to home settings I should see WiFi networks and routers. I don’t and I am being told I should see them?

Indeed. Wrong link. Ha!. Can't edit now. 🤗
Yes, occasionally we need coffee.
I thought we could change our response within 2 minutes (very quickly anyway).
Just post a new response.
