Accidentally deleted messages

I accidentally deleted all my messages and want to know how to get them back! Does anyone know how to do this?

iMac 21.5″, macOS 11.6

Do you have a Time Machine backup to Restore to/from?

Are these Mail messages or Messages messages?

I am not too good at Discussions. I answered on a previous screen but was given a same screen to answer again!! Yikes!!

Oh. OK, I don't know of a way to recover them. possibly a Time Machine backup?
