If you cannot connect to your browser webpages or receive mail . or your WIFI icon shows no active connection Try deleting it and re-adding it.

Not much to go on here...
reboot the router, the modem and the Mac and see if this resolves the issue.
see if there is anything here: If Safari on Mac doesn't open a webpage or isn't working as ...
Is it only to the App Store or does it happen in the iTunes Store as well? What is the exact message you get?

Router seem to be OK in that I can connect to my browsers, either Safari or Firefox, and to all of the internet sites....except the 'no connection to internet' when requesting an OS update.
