How to automate 'Personal Hotspot / Allow Others to Join' because Mobile Data ON and OFF Hotspot ON not working correctly.

Problem: If I leave my personal hotspot / allow others to join ON and then turn my mobile data OFF and then ON again, my iPhone won't appear on other devices (upon refreshing the other devices' WiFi signal - if this isn't done, the iPhone won't connect either way). I have to turn the personal hotspot OFF and then ON again for it to appear on other devices and work.

If this problem didn't exist, then the shortcut automation I want would work as intended - Turn Mobile Data ON/OFF automation is enough.

However as the problem does exist, I need further action such as: 'Turn Personal Hotspot ON' or 'Allow Others to Join ON'.

This problem doesn't exist on Android phones I've tested. You can turn the Mobile Data on and off (while Personal Hotspot is ON) and it will still work.

P.S: I have an iPhone 6s. But I don't think it's just an iPhone 6s issue (try your iPhone).

We apologize, 00A00. We thought we had. Once you’ve turned off Mobile Data, it also disconnects Personal HotSpot which is why you have to toggle Personal HotSpot again.

I'll add in some screenshots for clarification:

Does not work:

To make it work again, you must directly change from 'allow others to join from ON to OFF to ON again':

So, the problem/bug is: If you change directly from Mobile Data from ON to OFF to ON (while Personal Hotspot is ON) - it doesn't work!

This should all work. It works on android phones. Also, I need it to work for my 'Software app -> Automation'. As you can't directly change 'Allow Others to Join' from Automation - only Turn Mobile Data ON / OFF appears.

Try on your own iPhone. See if this problem happens to you too!
