Apple sent me the wrong AirPods. I ordered the 2nd generation. Is it possible to get the right order?

I’m disappointed I spent 120$ Plus taxes just to get the 1st generation AirPods. I specifically order the 2nd generation.

Yes, the first and second generation use the same case, but the AirPods have distinct model numbers.

1st generation: Model Number A1602 (Lightning Charging Case) A1722 (left AirPod) A1523 (right AirPod)

2nd generation: Model Number A1602 (Lightning Charging Case) A1938 (Wireless Charging Case) A2031 (left AirPod) A2032 (right AirPod)

Apple stopped selling the first generation AirPods in March 2019.

The 2nd generation AirPods are $129 USD. The 3rd generation AirPods are $179 USD.

The charging case is A1602 and the pods are a2032.

I’m assuming I got the gen 2 pods and the charging case is gen 1.

I bought the 2nd generation.

Even a friend of mine told me they sent me the wrong AirPods.

but I do have the 1st gen charging case.
