My AirPods are louder when I lay down and they are very muffled

i lost these a year ago and just found them and for some reason my speaker is louder then my AirPods but when I lay down or tilt my head back they sound great but it’s not to comfy to tilt your head back while watching a vid, I even try sucking on the grills because my aunt said to try it was pretty gross but worked for 2 minutes also whenever I did that I heard a clicking sound and I am very confused and I am to lazy to go fix them please help🤘
