Macbook Air Needs USB port

Why would Apple fail to put a USB port on the Macbook Air ? Where is the logical rational fro such a foolish move ? I was going to buy one or two, but without a USB port it severely hampers what I need it for. USB is still a very convenient and universal way to share data. I ended up buying a used one that has USB (my third one). Will Apple get smart and put USB on the next generation of MacBook Airs ?? I can only hope the designers come to their senses. I am really not wild about changing platforms but I have word to do and Apple seems to nat have a clue of how necessary USB is. Come on Apple use your heads !

There IS a USB port on it. It's a USB C port.

In addition to being more space efficient, it is significantly faster than USB A ports are capable of being. All you need is an adapter to plug in your old USB A devices.

Perhaps you should do some basic research before you go off on a rant...
