Preventing iPad Reset

I have an iPad air (4th generation) that I use at work (i work in pediatrics). One kiddo was able to get around the restrictions by resetting the iPad. They knew the passcode to unlock the iPad and that was all they needed to reset it.

Is there anyway to prevent the ability to reset the iPad that doesn't involve the unlock passcode?
