Apple Watches pinging throughout the night.
Our family has a Series 3 a Series SE and a Series 7 Apple Watch and after updating to the latest watchOS they ping throughout the night. This happens after the watches are fully charged. The watch’s blank face suddenly shows the charging circle, then pings, shows the time, then shows the pass-key pad and turns back off. It’s as if they were removed from the charging stand and placed it back on.
I can stop the pinging every minute or two by setting the watches to mute. And again it only happens once the watch is fully charged. Anyone else experiencing anything like this. I have already reset the Series 7 and 3 watches which have not changed the behavior. The SE is my wife's watch and I do not want to mess with it.
We are using the 3rd party charger sold on Amazon:
This charger has been excellent in charging our iPhones, AirPods and Watches. The only glitch is the constant recharging cycling. This can be upwards of 2 times a minute. There does not seem to be a pattern so the cycling can stop for several minutes as well before it starts up again. So far, we have to remove the watches from the charger stand to stop the cycling. I have set the alerts to mute, but the cycling continues. I am concerned this could damage the watches.
