Click on the Apple menu at the top-left of the screen. Select "About This Mac", then click on the "Support" tab. Your current warranty coverage/status will be revealed.

It should be in warranty, and as I understand law in your country USA then Apple will underwrite any warranty repairs depending on the type of problem or damage
