Unable to retrieve password

Cannot log back into apple ID! When prompted to input ipad password it says it is incorrect when it is not

Where, precisely, are you attempting to sign-in to your AppleID? Are you able to successfully sign-in elsewhere with the AppleID credentials that you believe to be correct?


If your credentials are indeed correct, you should be able to sign-in to your AppleID account from a web browser:

https://appleid.apple.com


If you are able to sign-in, with a better understanding of precisely where you are experiencing difficulties, contributors here will be better able to provide appropriate advice or guidance.


Otherwise, you should be able to recover access to your account here:

https://iforgot.apple.com


To recover your credentials, you’ll need access to one of the following:

  • Your primary email address mailbox that corresponds with your AppleID
  • Any of the secondary/recovery email addresses that should be configured for your AppleID account
  • Any of the trusted telephone numbers (fixed line or Cellular/Mobile) that are associated with your AppleID


Unless you AppleID account has not been fully/correctly configured, or has been seriously neglected, recovery of the AppleID and password should not be difficult.
