Message body blank in Apple Mail
This is less of a question and more of a work around. Lately, in the past couple of months, I've been seeing blank message bodies in Apple Mail. When that happens, the message window doesn't respond to the keyboard. I can close the window only with the mouse. And once one message body is blank, all messages appear that way.
I can retrieve the message bodies using methods described in several places online, including rebuilding mailboxes, turning Wi-Fi off and back on, and restarting my Mac. That will fix the problem temporarily, but then this issue will reappear later. I've noticed one other work around that seems to prevent the problem from occurring in the first place. I normally use Mail with the preview window turned off. I open messages individually to read them. I've turned on the preview window and haven't had the blank message body since.
It would be nice to go back to turning off the preview window though.
