Universal Control Window Arrangement Doesn't Persist

• "Make sure that your devices are near each other—ideally within 1 meter (3 feet).
• Put your devices to sleep, then wake them up.
• Turn off Universal Control on each device, then restart each device and turn Universal Control back on."

I did some fiddling around - changing which display was main display and that did nothing but - I did something that "fixed" it - I changed the resolution of the display to the left (the larger display) to be smaller than the display on the right - once I did that I could set the iPad to be arranged below the display on the right - but now I can't place the iPad below the display on the left in the arrange pane. I don't know why this is though, it could be some sort of defect?

Also when I change the resolutions of the monitors in the displays setting pane iPad jumps beneath whichever display has a larger resolution. Weird.

*edit - I am also using DisplayLink for the display to the left which may somehow impact this. So that display is some sort of RemoteDesktop hack built by DisplayLink.

I don't know why it works for me, but not the two of you .... although: on the Mac, in Preferences -> Displays -> Display Settings, for your display on the right labeled Use as: Main Display? Or is the one on the left Use as: Main Display?

Same is happening for me - I can place the display (my iPad Pro 12.9) under the display on the left but not under the display on the right, it stays for a moment then pops back to where it was placed under the display on the left. (running iOS 15.4 and MacOS 12.3.1) LG 32 inch on the left, Studio Display on the right.

Does this look like your arrangement (iPad below main display):

... Or something else? This setup works persistently for me.
