mac OS Monterey notes color

I have been using notes on MacOS Monterey Ver12.3. When I cut from an email and paste a link it defaults to yellow color. I have tried going into fonts > Show Color > Choose black but still it reverts back to yellow. Even when I highlight a certain part of the text to cut or copy it now does show as light yellow. I have no idea how to change this back to defaults.

Please advice.
