iPad Air convert my writing to text?

I am interested in the iPad Air. I am wondering will it convert my writing in a word document into text with the Apple Pencil? My iPad mini doesn't. I do have the word subscription

MS word is NOT an Apple product. It is owned by Microsoft.

All MS Office products may NOT have ANY Pencil compatibility NOR have any handwriting to text conversion features using the Pencil.

You would need to ask Microsoft to be sure.
