Stolen iPhone XS Max

My iPhone XS Max was stolen, Apple ID was changed & phone number deactivated. I have proof of purchase & proof of Apple ID change. Police report was filed already & they’re “still looking”. What can I do?

Did you have a strong passcode on your iPhone?

I wouldn’t say it was a strong passcode but it was definitely not something super easy to guess. Especially if you didn’t know me. Hope that makes sense.

That does but it also tells me whoever stole your iPhone knew you and was able to enter the passcode and then change your Apple ID.
