Time Machine fails "/Library/Application Support/ApplePushService/aps.db" could not be backed up.

All of as sudden, Time Machine is failing, again, backing up to my Synology NAS over SMB. And I just got it working again after giving up on months of old backup and starting over.

The first complaint was "out of space". But there's gobs. After a reboot of the Mac, now I get '"/Library/Application Support/ApplePushService/aps.db" could not be backed up.' My 2017 4-port MBP is still backing up to the same destination just fine. Only the M1 iMac seems to keep having problems. And it's the one that's Ethernet attached...

MacOS is current update as of yesterday.

Any suggestions?!?

iMac 24″, macOS 12.3
