Every time I tried to download an app with in-app purchasing it said ‘There is a problem with a previous purchase’, it made me select a payment option but I didn’t have one, so I bought an Apple gift card and added it to my payment methods, and it just doesn’t show up when I have to select a payment method? I tried to redeem it but it just said that the code had already been redeemed

When you redeem an Apple gift card at the iTunes Store, typically, the balance is added as a credit to your account. Any future purchase will be debited from your gift card balance and then fall back to your payment method when the credit balance is exhausted. Check to make sure that the cost of your purchase doesn't exceed your gift card/account credit.
