Hi,

You don't need to install antivirus utility on your MacBook Pro, since macOS has antivirus utility, called gatekeeper.

And I think shutdown is better at night.

Antivirus > No third party antivirus app should be used. The MacOS has built-in protection.

I shut down when not using the computer for an hour or more. Others put it to sleep.

Best AV for the Mac is the latest MacOS ... nothing else.
