Can MagSafe Duo Charger charge to iPhones at the same time?

I see there was discussion a few months ago about whether or not the MagSafe Duo Charger can charge two iPhones at the same time. Is there a definitive answer on this yet? I'm trying with my new MagSafe and not getting it to work. But would like to hear of others' experiences before I return it. Thanks.

The MagSafe Charger requires the 20W USB-C Power Adapter.

The MagSafe Duo Charger is not designed for two iPhones because both halves are different sizes. 
