I'm trying to pair my Megaboom3 speaker with my iMac. They won't pair

Ok, lauralinda53, maybe i can help you.. i don’t know what model+ year of iMac you have so can only give you general help… is Bluetooth on ? Is your iMac discovereable via bluetooth ( bluetooth menu > advanced settings) megaboom 3 speaker should show up as bluetooth device… here’s the support page for the speaker: https://support.ultimateears.com/en/megaboom3/

there may be a software update for the speaker… maybe try that ? If you want to reset it, press the volume ( - ) and power buttons together and hold them down for at least 6 seconds. Wait for an audible tone which indicates speaker was reset. It’ll then turn off… press power button to turn it on and re-pair it with your imac… you might want to see if a reset smc/pmu and zap pram 4x on startup fixes the problem… if you know your year/model of imac( under “about this mac”) or on the foot of your imac, Apple’s support pages can tell you how to do both of those things
