In Pages, paragraph indentation issues

I am trying Pages after running into too many issues trying to compile a document with LaTeX (I love it, but after a point, the overhead gets to be a headache and my doc is very long).

Anyhow, I've started creating some styles for Headings, lists, and paragraphs and am running into some issues with paragraph indention that are pretty frustrating.

1. Starting a new Body paragraph (following my Heading style, which is applied alongside a tiered list) automatically indents the paragraph based on how far the heading above it indents the heading title; I have 0 indentation set up on the Body paragraph style. How can I stop this from happening?
2. I am getting indentation appearing within paragraphs for no apparent reason. I do not see any invisibles and there are no indents to tab stops; I even create a new paragraph from a flush-left paragraph (using the View Layout as a guide) and it inexorably indents. Later (near the bottom of the screenshot) the paragraph content suddenly stops indenting; again, no clue as to why it is suddenly "fixed".
