Looking for ipads with ( pen pressure sensitivity) feature

Hi all, and specially artists.

I have ipad pro 12 inch, old model 2016,

with the first apple pencil, so i dont have any information about the new oned

I'm looking for a smaller one, and doesn't have to be pro,

but I'm worry about ( pressure sensitivity) feature, wether they support it or not, because I'm an artist.

The feature means, when you hard press with the pencil,

the color gets tense and darker, and for light press

, the color gets lighter, while drawing.

Can anybody list me the ipads that supports this feature?

I'm not sure if all of them do, or if actually the feature depends on the pen

I don't have any updated info

It depends on the pencil generation. It can be done using Apple Pencil 2nd generation only, and that pencil model is compatbile with:

iPad mini (6th generation)
iPad Air (4th generation and later)
iPad Pro 12.9-inch (3rd generation and later)
iPad Pro 11-inch (1st generation and later)

Both the first and second generation Apple Pencil are essentially the same in their main capabilities - in that both versions, subject to individual App support, offer sensitivity to both pressure and angle that you use the Pencil in relation to the iPad screen.

The significant differences between the first and second generation Pencil are:

charging and pairing - with the second generation using inductive charging/pairing instead of a Lightning connection
tool selection by tapping the pencil - only available with the second generation Pencil

So, what i learned from you that

The feature of sensitivity is actually inside the pencils, not the ipads.

So i dont have to worry about the ipad itself.

I'll just look for an ipad that is 9-7 inches and then find the compatibility of which pencil will be compatible of it.

Correct - it is the Pencil that detects pressure, not the iPad.

Just ensure that whichever iPad you choose, that you have the correct Pencil. The Pencil models are not interchangeable; your chosen iPad will only be compatible with the first or second generation Pencil.
