Connecting Beats Studio Buds to my iPhone

I just purchased the beats studio buds and have charged them fully. When I open the case near my iPhone, I am not seeing the the device in my bluetooth settings under 'other devices'. What can I do?

did you put them into pairing mode?

I actually found out how to reset the beats with the button in the middle between the buds and that worked. Thank you
