Auto correct is ‘off’ why still auto changing words?

I have the “auto correct” feature turned off. Has been since i got the phone over a year ago. I still continue to have issues with my words being changed automatically when i have a perfectly good word typed. For instance, today it kept changing “his” to “good.” The word “his” was typed in and spelled correctly but yet when i move on in them sentence it is auto changing to “good.” I do not have any words added to any lists for auto changing. It’s all default. I do have the Auto Correct feature turned OFF. Why do my words keep auto changing? Solutions please
