Transfer Error A transfer error has occurred

Is there aby solution for this issue? This seems to be fairly common, strange that Apple is not interested to attract Android customers.

Hi there dorin178,

If you are getting a transfer error when using the Move to iOS app, try the following:

• Ensure you are using the most recent version of Move to iOS.

• Check for any network manager apps on the Android device (some come pre-installed), and remove them should any exist.

• Forget any existing networks on the Android device, you may need to consult whomever supports your Android device for this if you do not know how. Do not manually re-join any networks on the Android device since Move to iOS creates a peer-to-peer network between the devices that has no internet connection.

• Remove the SIM from the Android device and try again as well, as any notification of any kind on the Android device will cancel the transfer.

If this continues after following those steps, then we would recommend contacting Apple Support to get the best assistance going forward.
