Same here, I didn’t do anything to my account and today my iPhone is telling me the expiration date is in the past. 2024 isn’t in the past. And for the person suggesting that link, ever try updating the expiration date on Apple? It isn’t as simple as you might think. Last time when my card expired, the number didn’t change, just the expiration date. Apple doesn’t understand that concept, even after talking to a person, they couldn’t just input a new expiration date. I had to add my wife’s card as the new card, delete the original then re-add the original with the new date and delete her card again after. What if you don’t have two cards? Updating the expiration date shouldn’t be difficult. I'm waiting for a callback now to get mine corrected again, not looking forward to the clown show it will be. Apple fix your stuff.

Similar issue here. My default card for payment is showing as expired, specifically I'm getting red messages that say "Expiration dates can't be in the past." and "Security code is invalid." It isn't and it isn't. I've got the card in hand and have verified that everything is correct. This is annoying because I'm getting emails that say the payment method for my iCloud storage is expiring and I'll revert to the tiny default storage limit.

I also just tried adding a second card (which worked), and removing the first card. Then, I re-entered the first card, and the error messages reappeared. (I think it's telling that Apple offered the option of adding a "recently removed card", so I suspect they're holding onto the data/tokens rather than using the fresh information that I'm entering.) I've not been able to fix this yet.
