Iphone watsapp status issue

I did not wanted to show my watsapp status to few peoples as it was private so i selected those contact numbers(android &iPhone users) to hide my watsapp status from them and i could see that android watsapp user still could see my status but iphone users could not but after a few hours i changed the privacy settings of watsapp status to unhide those same contact numbers ,even after unhiding the same contacts the iphone users could not view my status whereas the android user was able to view it
