My Face ID still isn’t working after I’ve updated to most recent update. Is it really necessary to go to an apple store in order to fix it?

If you still can't enroll your face or unlock your device with Face ID, take your device to an Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider, or contact Apple Support about your iPhone or your iPad.
If you followed the instructions in the link and you could not resolve the issue your phone has a hardware problem. So you need to contact Apple support, as the link says.
When I go to my settings it says Face ID disabled. This started a few days ago when apple released the new update & my Face ID hasn’t worked since.
