How can I stop receiving alerts on my iPhone?

You can open Settings ➡️ Notifications: Here you will see a list of apps and permissions that you have set for the Alerts (Notifications). Find the app that you do not want Alerts/Notifications from and then tap on it and turn OFF Badges, Sounds and Alerts for that app.
