Total and absolute fail. Apple decided to nix everything that makes watching baseball on TV pleasurable: record, pause, slow-mo, replay. What an excruciating ordeal.

It’s so frustrating here in the Uk - it’s the only way to get to see MLB games outside the US without a crazy cost per month (BT Sport twice as expensive as the MLB subscription we used to happily pay for but that’s not avail anymore here) but it’s stream live only - no second chance even within a day or two after 😢 We’ve tried a few time now to stay up and watch a full game live (they all start after midnight) - almost every time we fall asleep part way through and then amazing things happen… case in point fell asleep with Yankees 5 runs up at bottom of 5th and they finish 13 runs up! It’s so frustrating 🙁

This is total BS!!! I love Apple, but this cutting edge company has relegated watching sports on TV back to the old days of only going to bathroom during commercials or else risk missing a key play or other event. Let's go Apple, get this fixed!!!
Apple better learn fast what baseball fans like. Basic cable snd a dVR is standard use today - we like to time shift and replay great plays. Hello!! Hello!! The commercial/marketing mentions being lost is great - listen SNY - but some other things are frustrating. Analysis - spotty, not much depth, mic-ed players? No thanks.
I’m afraid it is true since BT Sports got sole rights. We have tried several times and it is no longer possible - you simply cannot set up a new subscription anymore 🙁. YOU may be lucky in that you had a subscription in place BEFORE that happened and they continue to honour your existing subscription.
I promise you you can. BT have had the rights for around 10 years, but they’re not exclusive rights at all. I subscribe to MLB TV every season. I know somebody who signed up last week.
BT only show a tiny percentage of all the games anyway, and they absolutely do not have exclusive rights. Even the games they BT do show live are also on MLB TV at the same time as I’ve flicked between the two and found a slight delay on the BT coverage

If you don’t believe me (which for some reason you’re adamant you’re not going to) then read this article - scroll down to “How to watch MLB: live stream baseball online in the UK” and then just sign up to the $24.99 (the conversion to £ will be done automatically - about £20.50 currently) package for all games (aside from those on Apple TV, Amazon or YouTube, which is a small amount) until the end of the season
AppleTV for baseball is a fail No pause, FF, rewind? Are you kidding me? Whose idea was it to put on AppleTV? Another way to get you into another subscription & squeeze more money out of the consumer - wouldn't mind if the controls were available. How about those announcers? No thanks, I'll take the usual suspects K. Hernandez, R. Darling & G. Cohen. Not interested in strike or RBI possibilities taking up space on TV screen! Even the commercials are awful. Whom ever was responsible at AppleTV for setting this up should be given his/her pink slip! MLB will be catching **** from a whole lot of us baseball fans!

Sorry, it’s not true that you can’t subscribe to MLB TV in the UK. I, along with loads of other people I know, are current subscribers. It works out at just under £110 for the whole season
